T.A.L.K. Time!

Language with
Kids Social Skills Group
T.A.L.K.
Time is a weekly program designed to help kids
relate to and socialize with other kids in real social
situations.
There
are two groups: preschool/kindergarten and 1st - 3rd grades.
Sessions will focus
on:
- sharing -
making friends - turn-taking - topic maintenance - conversation
initiation - maintaining
appropriate eye contact
T.A.L.K Time is
designed for children who are:
- enrolled primarily
in a regular education setting -
have generally age-appropriate language skills
A written summary of
each participant’s progress will be provided at the end of
the 6-week session.
About the
Groups
All groups will run
on Tuesday afternoons from
September 27
through November 1, 2011. The
preschool/kindergarten groups will run from 3:00
until 4:00 p.m. The 1st-3rd grade groups
will run from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m.
The groups will be run by Tracy
Klein, M.A. CCC-SLP, a licensed speech-language
pathologist, who has experience running social skills groups
and working with children individually. Ms. Klein will be
assisted by a student volunteer who has a Bachelor’s Degree
in Psychology.
The fee for the
6-week session is $360. Unfortunately,
we cannot reimburse families for missed sessions.
